Menopause Care

SERVICES

Menopause is a time where the body takes on a tremendous transition. Women going through menopause will display new symptoms OR exacerbate symptoms that were already there. Some of those symptoms include brain fog, vaginal dryness, vulvar burning and itching, painful intercourse, recurrent UTIs and/or UTI-like symptoms, bacterial vaginosis, urinary/bowel leakage and/or discomfort, digestive issues such as IBS or food intolerances, and hot flashes to name a few. Did you know vaginal pH changes as you go through menopause? It can leave women susceptible to more infections. And this is preventable.

What a lot of women don't know is that perimenopause, the timeframe leading up to menopause, may display more symptoms than actual menopause itself. Perimenopause can start as early as 35-40 years of age. If you are experiencing symptoms, know that many of them can be managed through pelvic floor physical therapy.

Approximately 50% of the world's population are women, and if every woman lived long enough, 100% of them will experience menopause. Let that sink in. A lot of people, right? So if that many women experience menopause, shouldn't menopause care be standard practice?
